2014 Türkiye yerel seçimlerinde Diyarbakır Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı seçilen, 2016 yılında yerine kayyum atanan ve tutsak edilen Gülten Kışanak, siyasi bir kadın mahpus olarak deneyimlerini paylaşmıştır. Despot erkeğin “Ben izin vermeden evden çıkamazsın” dayatmasıyla despot iktidarın “Benim çizdiğim sınırlar dışında bir siyasi görüşe sahip çıkamazsın” dayatması, aynı zihniyetin ürünüdür. Kapatma, “evcilleştirme” amacına hizmet eder. İnsan denen canlı, ürünlerinden ve gücünden yararlanmak istediği hayvanları “kapatarak” evcilleştirmiş ve kendi hizmetine koşmuştur. Erkek de eve kapatarak “evcilleştirdiği” kadının ekmeğini ve bedenini sömürü alanına çevirmiş, kişilik haklarını elinden almıştır. Cins bilincine varan, haklarının ve özgürlük taleplerinin peşinden koşan, ev hapishanesinden kurtulan kadınları kamusal alanlarda erkek egemen sistemin hapishaneleri bekliyor. Siyasi kadın mahpuslar, ev hapishanesinden sonra bir de sistemin hapishanesine karşı özgür yaşam mücadelesi veriyor.

Gülten Kışanak, who was elected as the Mayor of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality in the 2014 Turkish local elections and was appointed and imprisoned in 2016, shared her experiences as a political female prisoner. The imposition of the despotic man “You cannot leave the house without my permission” and the imposition of the despotic power “You cannot have a political view outside the boundaries I have drawn” are the products of the same mentality. The closure serves the purpose of “domestication”. The creature called man has domesticated the animals, whose products and power he wants to benefit from, by “closing” them and rushing to his service. The man has also turned the bread and body of the woman he has “tamed” into a field of exploitation by confining himself to the house, and has taken away his personal rights. Prisons of the maledominated system await women who become gender conscious, pursue their rights and demands for freedom, and escape from home prison. Political women prisoners are fighting for a free life against the system’s prison after the home prison.
