Hacettepe Üniversitesi, cinsel taciz ve şiddetle mücadelede önemli adımlar atmıştır. 2012 yılında “Akademik Etik Kurul” oluşturulmuş ve bu kurul cinsel taciz başvurularını incelemeye başlamıştır. HÜKSAM tarafından 2015’te yapılan bir araştırma ile öğrencilerin cinsel tacizle ilgili beklentilerini belirlemiş ve bu rapor Rektörlüğe sunulmuştur. 2016-2020 Toplumsal Cinsiyet Eşitliği Eylem Planı çerçevesinde, cinsel tacizle mücadele için bir yönerge hazırlanarak 2019’da kabul edilmiş ve “Cinsel Tacize ve Cinsel Saldırıya Karşı Koruma ve Destek Komisyonu” kurulmuştur. Komisyon tarafından bu güne dek Rektörlük aracılığıyla yapılan başvurular için raporlar düzenlenerek Rektörlüğe sunulmuş, ayrıca sadece danışmanlık almak üzere çok sayıda başvuru yapılmış olup, komisyon üyeleriyle yapılan görüşmelerle ihtiyaçlar doğrultusunda başvuranlara destek sunulmuştur.  

Hacettepe University has taken important steps in combating sexual harassment and violence. In 2012, the “Academic Ethics Committee” was established and this committee began to review sexual harassment applications. In 2015, a study was conducted by HÜKSAM to determine students’ expectations regarding sexual harassment and this report was submitted to the Rectorate. Within the framework of the 2016-2020 Gender Equality Action Plan, a directive was prepared to combat sexual harassment and was accepted in 2019, and the “Protection and Support Commission Against Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault” was established. The Commission has prepared reports for applications made through the Rectorate to date and submitted them to the Rectorate, and in addition, support was provided to applicants in line with their needs through interviews held by the members of the commission for many applications about to receive counseling.
