Özet
-
Summary
-
This review addresses the concept of student engagement in medical education and discusses its impact on educational processes. Traditionally conducted with a teacher-centered approach, medical education has evolved into a structure that places the student at the center, requiring more active participation in their own learning. Student engagement is a multidimensional concept that involves not only participation in learning processes but also in areas such as curriculum development, scientific research, governance, and community-related activities. The review examines the definition of student engagement, its theoretical frameworks, areas of involvement, and strategies for enhancing engagement. The aim of this review is to highlight the scope and importance of student engagement in medical education and to contribute to future research in this field.
